Classes

Snohomish ACS offers Amateur Radio Technician Class courses around the County on request.  The course includes the textbook, classroom instruction and the FCC license exam over a single weekend (other times as needed).  This is everything you need to get your amateur radio license.  We use the Gordon West Technician Class Study Manual published by W5YI.

The next class opportunity will be December 6 and 8, 2017 from 8am to 5pm at the Philips Healthcare Training Room at 22100 Bothell-Everett Hwy, Bothell 98021.  The course runs 8am-5pm Wednesday and Friday with a break for lunch both days.  You can bring food or there are plenty of local lunch options and coffee will be provided.  The course fee is $40 and includes the book, course materials and FCC test fee.  If you have your own book, the fee is $20 and if you are also welcome to simply come test (all license classes are available) for $14.  If you would like to test and aren't attending the class, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can provide entry details and we know you're coming.

You can signup online using the registration form and if you have any questions email us at SnohomishACS at gmail.com.  A flyer is available for download here.

There are online study materials and practice tests at Ham Test Online and Ham Study.  We also have a short study guide available for download.  The study guide is focused on material that appears multiple times in the question pool and simply must be memorized.

Other classes and test sessions are available around the area and can be found at http://n7cfo.com/amradio/hf/cls&ve.htm.
